With many of the financial institutions struggling and hoping to receive federal relief, the nation’s farm lenders seemed to of been spared the crisis, especially the farm credit system. In fact, their net income was reported up about 20% for the first six months of 2008 and Ken Auer says with the Farm Credit Council says there is a reason why.
