Every year, USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) releases their annual Planting Intentions Report at the end of March. And when the 2021 report came out Wednesday, there were some surprises when it came to certain crops. But as Gary Crawford reports, experts want to pass along a reminder that the Prospective Plantings report is just an indication of what farmers were thinking when they were surveyed. What is actually planted is subject to change.
