A NEW
lifestyle radio program has been launched! "Vine
to Wine" featuring Linda Moran is a 2.5-minute
daily program designed to entertain, enlighten and educate both
current and potential wine consumers. "Vine
to Wine" was created to provide the listener
with an unpretentious, yet informative, approach to wine and the
culture surrounding it. Linda takes the mystery and intimidation
out of wine and encourages the listener to try, buy, and enjoy!
Linda covers
a variety of topics in her programs. Subjects include terminology,
wine varieties, proper wine etiquette, label reviews, and much more.
Every Thursday is food and wine day: Linda provides a wine and food
pairing recommendation, a recipe, or a variety of food and wine
thoughts. The programs are packed with information the listener
can put into practical use and are short enough in length to hold
the audience's attention.

Lifestyle
Programming:
"Vine
to Wine"
is like a 2.5-minute mental vacation for today's radio audience.
It takes the listener out of the car or away from the workplace
to a place he or she would rather be. Lifestyle programming works
by breaking up the seriousness of news and talk radio and the repetitiveness
of music format stations. It's refreshing
like sitting in your
favorite room, then opening a window and letting a fresh breeze
in. It makes a good thing even better.
Food and beverage
radio programming is nothing new. In the 20s there was the "Betty
Crocker Show" and today there are numerous long format (1-3
hour) food and wine shows airing on metro stations like KGO San
Francisco, WNYC in New York, and The Food Show on New Orleans' WSMB.
"Vine
to Wine" was created to give daily listeners
a small portion of wine and food knowledge to take home with them
each afternoon. As consumers continue to cocoon (Faith Popcorn term
for staying at home), entertaining at home becomes more important,
thus creating high demand for home entertainment information like
that presented in "Vine
to Wine".

More About the Host:
Linda,
has been in the wine and food industry for more than 25 years, most
of those years spent educating people about wine. Linda has received
scholarships to travel to and study wines in France, Germany and
Italy, becoming an expert on those wine regions. She spent 12 years
as Director of Wine Education for the Northwest Wine Distributors
developing classes and seminars to educate chefs, restaurants, wholesalers,
wine buyers and industry employees about wine and wine etiquette.
Linda has collaborated with renowned chefs on creating recipes to
accentuate a certain wine and taught several cooking courses emphasizing
wine and food parings. Linda was most recently contracted by the
Washington Wine Commission to head their annual wine auction. In
the few years she worked with the Commission she tripled their contributions,
growing the Washington Wine auction to the largest wine auction
in the country. Linda is well respected, celebrated and admired
by the Northwest Grape Growers and Wine Makers. She recently re-located
from Seattle to Southeast Washington to be closer to the heart of
wine making in the Northwest. Linda has served as chair for the
Society of Wine Educators International Conference, the Seattle
Chapter of Women for Wine and Wine Consumers Professional Trainers,
just to name a few. Linda brings all this experience and knowledge
to the daily Vine to Wine radio program to create the outstanding
show it has become. Linda is currently focusing her efforts on the
Vine to Wine radio program as it expands nationwide, and working
on an opportunity with Tribune Entertainment Network to create a
televised 2 minute wine segment for their network. She recently
starred in Getting to Know Wine a video
seminar on the nuances of wine and etiquette, personally developing
the program including a video and workbooks that accompany the seminar.
