“With Georgia growing the largest portion of peanuts in the country, it’s very important for us to have representation on these national boards such as the National Peanut Board,” said Bryan Tucker, project coordinator for farm and field services. “Anyone who is engaged in the production or sale of peanuts is eligible to be nominated for the National Peanut Board.”

The terms for the current Georgia National Peanut Board member (Andy Bell of Climax) and alternate (Casey Cox of Camilla) expire Dec. 31, 2021.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture requires two nominees from each state for each position of member and alternate.
