The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Georgia will be hosting two meetings of the State Technical Committee via teleconference on November 12 and 19, both from 9:00 a.m.–11:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. Coordinates for the teleconferences will be provided to non-Committee members who pre-register by emailing: tyler.wilhite@usda.gov by close of business two days before each meeting date.

The state technical committee meeting will allow Georgia citizens and representatives of organizations and agencies the opportunity to provide natural resource-based input that will guide the delivery of NRCS programs within the state. During the meeting, NRCS and Farm Service Agency (FSA) staff will provide updates on Farm Bill programs, and participants will have opportunities to offer suggestions regarding future implementation of programs. A complete meeting agenda, when available, can be found by visiting:  https://www.nrcs.usda.gov/wps/portal/nrcs/main/ga/technical/stc/agenda/.

Please direct questions about these meetings to Katura N. Wright, assistant state conservationist for programs, at (706) 546-2272 or katura.wright@usda.gov.

Those unable to participate in the State Technical Committee meetings are encouraged to have a representative listen in their place. Anyone needing an accommodation to participate in these meetings should contact Tyler Wilhite by November 5, at (706) 546-2080 or email.

NRCS provides leadership in a partnership effort to help people conserve, maintain and improve our natural resources and environment.
