Syngenta Crop Protection recently announced the acquisition of Valagro, a leading Biologicals company. This positions Syngenta as one of the key global companies poised to shape the rapidly growing Biologicals market, which is set to nearly double in size over the next five years.
While bio-stimulants are nothing new, there is a growing interest in this area. Global Head of Biologicals at Syngenta, Corey Huck, told AgNet Media’s Taylor Hillman that this purchase fits into their focus for this market.
Valagro will continue to operate as an independent brand in the market within the Syngenta Crop Protection business.
