The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is requesting proposals to assist with implementing key resource priorities in Georgia. Conservation minded organizations who can enhance conservation planning technical assistance for pollinator habitat, grazing and soil health, as well as program delivery are encouraged to submit their proposals by May 15.

“Investing in new and effective partnerships give us more ways to better serve our customers,” said Terrance O. Rudolph, state conservationist. “This opportunity is another way we can help deliver Agriculture Secretary Perdue’s vision for a more efficient and customer focused USDA.”

NRCS in Georgia anticipates approximately $2,500,000 in funding to be available through this notice of funding for fiscal year 2020. Potential applicants should review the announcement of funding available at www.grants.gov, which includes application materials and submission procedures. All awards are subject to the availability of funds appropriated by Congress.

This announcement is authorized and funded under the Soil and Water Conservation Technical Assistance Program, Environmental Quality Incentives Program and the Conservation Stewardship Program. Projects can last from one to four years. For more information on these programs in Georgia, please visit www.ga.nrcs.usda.gov.
