This week, the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) released its first assessment of the impact on farmers and ranchers in the wake of the national mitigation efforts to combat COVID-19. During a media conference call Wednesday afternoon, AFBF leadership discussed the impacts of the pandemic and related safety measures on agriculture and the food supply chain. AFBF President Zippy Duvall said they want to make sure consumers know there is plenty of food out there right now.

Duvall was asked about the transportation aspect of getting food and supplies to outlets, and also getting livestock transported.
