Growers across the Southeast are invited to be in Savannah, Georgia January 9-12, 2020 for the annual Southeast Regional Fruit and Vegetable Conference. Various educational sessions will be held covering a wide variety of vegetable and fruit production, food safety, business operations and much more. Some of the topics discussed this year include the fundamentals of blackberry production, treating irrigation water on the farm, understanding and enforcing your Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act (PACA) trust rights, consumer social media campaigns, experiences with Tunnel Production in Eastern North Carolina, the effect of hard irrigation water on blueberry soils, robotic and automation opportunities for peach production, insect management update, fungicide update and weed management update for vegetable crops, along with an update on the Food Safety Modernization Act. Various speakers will be on hand to discuss these and many more issues. There will also be more than 220 companies in the exhibit hall for an outstanding trade show.
