Producers from around the Southeast are encouraged to compete in the 2019 Southeastern Hay Contest, but the deadline to enter is 5 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2019. Marcelo Wallau,forage extension specialist with the University of Florida, told Southeast AgNet’s Randall Weiseman it’s important to understand the quality of your hay.
There are 7 different categories with cash awards going to the top 3 places in each category. Entries must include the signature of your local County Agent to verify authenticity.
