You know as I drive around through my part of the country I see added acres of berry crops every year. Mostly blueberries but there are others. And with each crop new or generations old a problem that most people do not give a lot of thought to. It is little birds. They do more damage to blueberries, blackberries, even grapes than all of the other insects combined. Alright now how do you get rid of them? A lot of people are working on that problem. You can’t poison them. You can’t even shoot them. One way that is beginning to show us is ‘birds of prey’. I don’t know how many there are. But some growers are trying it. Costly too. But, if it works, it saves a crop. Has anyone ever tried putting a crop under cover? I mean we used to grow tobacco under cover. I wonder?

That’s Agri View for today. I’m Everett Griner.
