For those who are concerned about the world population reaching seven and a half or eight billion people, the relevant question is: Will we have seeds and plants capable of producing that much volume? You know scientists have given us one generation of seeds and plants after another that have kept agriculture production on the rise. But many scientists feel that we have nearly reached our capacity in that realm. In other words, we can’t keep doing it. But, science is not waiving the white flag. The next big change could be “cellular” agriculture. Well, that is my question, too. What is cellular agriculture? I don’t have time to explain it and I couldn’t if I had time. But, it is growing from cells instead of full plants. That would require a lot of thought. That is what science is looking at right now — cellular agriculture. I’m listening.

That’s Agri View for today. I’m Everett Griner
