The Southern Association of State Departments of Agriculture is holding their annual conference this week, as it started Sunday and runs through Wednesday, June 8th in Point Clear, Alabama.

SASDA is comprised of the Commissioners, Secretaries, and Directors of Agriculture from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and the Virgin Islands.

This year’s President is Alabama Commissioner of Agriculture, John McMillan, thus the reason the event is being held in Alabama as it always takes place in the home state of the current President. We’ll have more from that event yet this week.
