The Meatless Monday campaign by Humane Society has found its way to Mexico. Meatingplace reports a Human Society video featuring a Mexican actor is part of the campaign aimed at consumers to reduce their meat consumption by choosing meatless meals one day a week. A campaign spokesperson said in a news release “eating less meat is better for animals and also creates less waste and pollution.” The campaign claims current meat consumption in Mexico supports inhumane factory farms that the campaign also claims treat animals like machines.
