Researcher Discusses Biochar Impacts in Citrus Groves

University of Florida researchers Arnold Schumann and Tim Spann wrote about biochar and its possible benefits for citrus in the April issue of Citrus Industry magazine. Some biochar is produced when growers burn dead or non-productive trees on burn piles. In this report, Spann defines biochar and discusses its impact on citrus trees.
