Producers Invited to Seminar on Hazmat Safety

Producers who live in Florida, Georgia, or Alabama and transport materials such as diesel fuel, gasoline, pesticides, or ammonium nitrate fertilizer across state lines are encouraged to attend a special seminar this Thursday, February 19th.

BOYD TO HOST SEMINAR ON HAZMAT SAFETY GOALS, REGULATIONS
Farmers, Agricultural Community in FL, GA, and AL encouraged to attend

QUINCY—On Thursday, February 19, 2009, Congressman Allen Boyd (D-North Florida) will host a seminar on HAZMAT safety goals and regulations, so that farmers and those in agribusiness can get more information on the federal regulations associated with transporting hazardous materials for agricultural purposes. Those who live in Florida, Georgia, or Alabama and transport materials such as diesel fuel, gasoline, pesticides, or ammonium nitrate fertilizer across state lines are encouraged to attend.

Representatives from the U.S. Department of Transportation, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and Florida, Georgia, and Alabama law enforcement will participate in the seminar.

Representatives from the Hazardous Materials Safety Administration – U.S. Department of Transportation, Representatives from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and Representatives from FL, GA, and AL law enforcement will particpate.
