University of FL To Play Key Role In Licensing Citrus Research

Ken Keck, FDOCIn these two reports, Florida Department of Citrus (FDOC) Executive Director Ken Keck discusses and explains a “direct support organization” to be set up through the University of Florida that can help manage, commercialize and protect the rights of any successful research projects toward solving citrus pest and disease issues like HLB, or citrus greening disease, and citrus canker. Keck also explains in the second report how the FDOC will act in a temporary capacity for a few weeks while the UF “DSO” gets put together, so research can continue moving forward without delay.
