About 80 citrus research projects recently recommended for funding by the National Academy of Sciences are in the process of getting funded while citrus growers and leaders keep considering others. Meanwhile, UF Citrus Research and Education Center (UF/CREC) Director Dr Harold Browning (photo left) offers caution about the need for timeliness and continuity for some projects, while Box Tax Committee Chairman Peter McClure (photo right) says the Academy’s list already approved will receive the most timely funding action right away.
