As is usually the case when our group of Farm Broadcasters come to the Nation’s Capitol, newsmakers abound and information flow is in overflow mode. We enjoyed visiting with Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns at length this week on a number of issues making ag news these days, and even found time for some photo ops for the scrapbook. In this report, we very much appreciate the comments from Secretary Johanns about the business of Farm Broadcasting. Since Southeast AgNet is the only bona-fide farm radio network serving the three state region of Florida, Georgia and Alabama, we feel it’s appropriate to share his comments about what we do with our ag audience around the region.
