More Alabama Auxin Herbicide Trainings Planned in March

Clint Thompson Alabama

Herbicide spraying on cotton.

We’ve been passing along information about auxin herbicide trainings in Alabama to help producers fulfill their Xtendimax, FeXapan and Engenia label requirements. The training sessions, put together by the Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES), continue in March in various locations. The program is designed to help applicators reduce herbicide drift incidents with susceptible crops and also provide information on technical application methods, tank cleanout and new chemistries.

The producer, certified applicator or person responsible for the application on resistant cotton and soybean varieties in Alabama, must receive this training. Applicators will need to have either a commercial or private applicator permit, in conjunction with this training, to be eligible to purchase and apply dicamba to resistant crops.

Registration is $15, and meetings will continue through March 16. To register click here.
