State Conservationist Terrance Rudolph, with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Georgia, announced up to $300,000 is available for the Georgia State Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG) program. This year’s CIG will help fund innovative conservation projects in three focus areas: grazing lands, urban agriculture and soil health. CIG projects, authorized and funded under the Environmental Quality Incentives Program, can last up to three years.

Potential applicants are invited to review the announcement of program funding at www.grants.gov. This includes application materials and submission procedures. All U.S.-based, non-federal entities and individuals are invited to apply.

Individual grants will not exceed $75,000 from NRCS. Funds will be awarded through a statewide competitive grants process. Applications must be submitted electronically through grants.gov. In addition, a PDF of the complete application must be emailed to tansel.hudson@ga.usda.gov. Both submissions must be received by the due date of 5 p.m. EST June 10, 2019.
