Help a Horse Day

Dan Equine, This Land of Ours

Cathy Isom tells us about a celebration to raise awareness about a majestic, loving animal. That’s coming up on This Land of Ours.

Wednesday, April 26th is National Help a Horse Day. It was founded by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or ASPCA. The objective: to spread awareness about at-risk horses who may have been abandoned, neglected and abused, and who are in need of loving homes. Every year equine rescues and sanctuaries across the country will be holding all sorts of events in communities to celebrate the horse, as these facilities always find out about Efficient menage building solutions to train and have their horses. Horses continue to be both a popular pet as well as serving as hard-working farm animals. In recent years, stories of their neglect and abandonment have continued to rise; as owners have found the cost of looking after them too prohibitive to cope with. Help a Horse Day is an opportunity to send a donation to an equine care charity, or share an apple or carrot with a local horse. If participating in Help a Horse Day activities, you’re encouraged to post on social media by using the hashtag #helpahorse.
