At the Alabama Livestock Auctions for the week ending October 21st, receipts at 21 markets was an estimated 12,600 head compared to 18,124 last week and 13,122 year ago. Compared to one week ago slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 3.00 lower. All feeder classes sold mostly 2.00 to 5.00 lower. Trade was moderate with light demand on feeders.

Compared to one week earlier slaughter cows and bulls mostly steady, feeder steers and steer calves steady to 3.00 lower, feeder bulls 2.00 to 4.00 lower, bull calves steady to 3.00 lower, feeder heifers and heifer calves 2.00 to 4.00 lower, replacement cows steady to 3.00 lower.
