At the Alabama Livestock Auctions for the week ending August 26th, receipts at 21 markets was an estimated 12,500 head compared to 14,291 last week and 12,575 year ago. Compared to one week ago slaughter cows and bulls sold mostly steady. All feeder classes sold mostly 2.00 to 5.00 lower. Trade was moderate with moderate demand on feeders.

Compared to one week earlier slaughter cows sold mostly steady, slaughter bulls steady to 1.00 higher, feeder steers steady to 2.00 lower, feeder bulls unevenly steady, feeder heifers steady to 3.00 lower, steer calves and bull calves unevenly steady, heifer calves steady to 2.00 lower, replacement cows mostly steady.
