A Look at Cotton and Peanut Planting Progress

In Alabama, 78% of the cotton crop had been planted as of this past Sunday. That compares to 74% at the same time last year while 82% is the 5-year average.
In Georgia, 76% of the cotton crop had been planted as of this past Sunday. That compares to 76% at the same time last year while 78% is the 5-year average.

In Alabama, 71% of the peanut crop had been planted as of this past Sunday. That compares to 68% at the same time last year while 70% is the 5-year average.
In Georgia, 85% of the peanut crop had been planted as of this past Sunday. That compares to 84% at the same time last year while 81% is the 5-year average.
In Florida, 87% of the peanut crop had been planted as of this past Sunday. That compares to 82% at the same time last year while 79% is the 5-year average.
