Green Cove Springs, FL March 17, 2016 – Kelly Mosley, a Career & Technical Education Specialist, Co-Owner of the Amazing Grace Crop Maze and a Director for the Clay County Farm Bureau is among the top 10 distinguished honorees being recognized nationally through Farm Credit 100 Fresh Perspectives, a search to identify and honor 100 leaders who are changing rural communities and agriculture for the better. Mosley received this top ten distinction along with nine other recipients out of a pool of 1000 nominees. The honorees were announced on National Ag Day at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

Kelly Mosley will receive a monetary award to help further her contributions to thriving rural communities and agriculture. In addition, she will be honored in Washington, D.C., at a special Farm Credit event in June of this year.

Farm Credit launched the Farm Credit 100 Fresh Perspectives program as part of its 100th anniversary of service to rural communities and agriculture. As a Farm Credit 100 Fresh Perspectives honoree Mosley joins an impressive list of leaders in agriculture and rural enterprise.

“Farm Credit has supported rural communities and agriculture for 100 years, and we appreciate the vision it takes to remain successful over time in agriculture and rapidly evolving, thriving rural industries,” said Gayward Hendry, President of the Clay County Farm Bureau. “We are delighted to honor Kelly as a leader who is helping to define the future of rural communities and agriculture. This honor helps recognize Mosley’s work on behalf of rural communities and agriculture, and her ability to further contribute to a vibrant future for rural America.”

Selected by a panel of experts on rural matters, including Farm Credit leaders and others from around the agriculture industry, honorees like Mosley are among the best-of-the-best who are positively shaping what is next for rural communities and agriculture.

“My parents set an example of serving others and there were many other adults who invested in my life during my teenage and college years. I want to continue this legacy and provide the next generation of agriculturists in our community with the opportunities I was given growing up, said Mosley.”

Mosley not only works full time with the Clay County School Board as a Career & Technical Education Specialist, but also co-owns, with her husband Justin, the Amazing Grace Crop Maze in Clay County. Thousands of students across the First Coast have the opportunity to experience agriculture because of the educational field trips offered at their crop maze. In addition to this, Mosley serves on the Board of the Clay County Farm Bureau implementing educational programs that bring agriculture into the schools, as well as serving on the board of the Florida FFA Association, the Board of County Commissioners, Tourism & Development Council and the Clay County 4-H Foundation. As if that weren’t enough, Mosley leads a 4-H club in her county teaching youth leadership and life skills. Her dedication to agriculture education is evidenced by her commitment to each of these organizations. Mosley has been recognized by the Florida Farm Bureau as the “2015 Volunteer Communicator of the Year” and was the University Of Florida College Of Agriculture and Life Science’s Horizon Alumni Award recipient in 2013.
