TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Commissioner of Agriculture Adam H. Putnam issued the following statement in response to Governor Rick Scott supporting many of his key budget priorities:

“I thank Governor Scott for his thoughtful consideration and support of many of our key priorities in the state budget. With the support of the Florida Legislature and the Governor, we are increasing pay for our wildland firefighters, supporting Florida citrus, protecting and growing Florida’s water supply, preserving Florida’s precious landscapes, promoting and defending Florida agriculture, protecting Floridians and much more.

“I also thank the Florida Legislature for their overwhelming and consistent support of our efforts to serve the people of Florida in an efficient and effective manner.”
