FDACSTALLAHASSEE, Fla. – A new advertising campaign featuring a variety of “Fresh From Florida” produce and seafood kicks off Monday.

The marketing campaign will air statewide television commercials to promote the state’s fresh and wholesome agriculture and seafood products and the “Fresh From Florida” brand.

“Florida produces some of the best fruits, vegetables and seafood in the world,” said Commissioner of Agriculture Adam H. Putnam. “This advertising campaign shows there are many ways to cook quick and easy meals with fresh Florida ingredients.”

Research indicates that consumers want easy recipes to make healthy meals for themselves and their families. The recipes featured in the commercials were developed by Chef Justin Timineri, Florida’s Culinary Ambassador, with this in mind. The ads, available in English and Spanish, prove that a fresh, healthy dinner can be on the table even on busy weeknights.

The three recipes featured in the ads are:

Tomato and Sweet Bell Pepper Flatbread
Blueberry Pancakes with Honey Butter
Seafood Delight with Shrimp and Clams

In addition, a fourth ad spot was developed promoting Florida-grown plants to add to your home or garden. That ad will begin running later in the campaign.

Beginning next week, the ads will air on major network and cable television stations in all of Florida’s 10 media markets: Miami, Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, Fort Myers, Pensacola, Tallahassee, Gainesville and Panama City.

Commercials will air in programs like The Today Show, Good Morning America, Rachael Ray, Jeopardy, Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, The Good Wife, NCIS, Scandal, The Voice and the Academy Awards, as well as on The Food Network, HGTV, Lifetime, OWN and the Travel Channel.
