At the end of August, USDA-APHIS announced a proposal to import fresh and frozen beef and live cattle from certain regions in Argentina. And Kristina Butts, Executive Director of Legislative Affairs for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, says this came on the heels of a proposal from USDA last December to allow the importation of fresh and frozen beef from Brazil.
