After the Senate earlier passed their version of the 2013 Farm bill, all eyes turned to see what the House would do and the answer to that question is they have rejected their version of the 5-year bill. Members of the House voted down the $940 billion bill by a vote of 195-234. Many were concerned about the $20.5 billion in cuts from the federal food stamp program noting that cuts to SNAP, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, were too much.
