Citrus black spot has only been found in two southwest Florida counties and has not been a major concern to most in the Florida citrus industry. However, two Southern Gardens Citrus officials told fellow growers at a citrus black spot workshop in Immokalee last week that black spot worries Brazilian growers as much as greening disease does. In the first report, Southern Gardens President Ricke Kress discusses the Brazilians’ concerns and says Floridians can learn from them.
