Variable Rate Fertilization Could Save Citrus Millions

Soil Scientist Arnold Schumann, UF/CRECAccording to soil scientist Arnold Schumann in his talk at the recent Citrus Expo Seminars, variable rate fertilization could save citrus growers a lot of money in fertilization costs. Additionally, he says growers should not over-apply fertilizers either, since doing so could actually cause higher pest populations, including more citrus psyllids to deal with.
